[Brooklyn] What are you doing New Year's, New Year's eve?

Her parents had been in full party-prep mode when she and Bucky rolled up to the house, Alpine in his brand-new soft-sided carrier. They'd dodged the caterers and florists and the cater-waiters and found Harrison and Amanda deep in a discussion of which champagne glasses to use. Sharon, recognizing the signs, had given them both a hug and a kiss and promised she and Bucky would be in attendance, then brought Bucky and Alpine up the stairs to her room.

The early sunset had been gorgeous, glowing off the snow-coated woods, but full dark has fallen now. She can hear cars pulling into the drive and the strains of music drifting up from the big room where her parents are greeting their guests. 

She's not quite ready yet, blinking at herself in the bathroom mirror as she applies mascara, her hair in curlers. "How's it going in there, baby?" she calls towards the room. "Does that suit fit okay?"

He kisses her again and swings her up into his arms, then takes her mouth in a passionate kiss before he carries her into the bath.

"Did you want a shower?" he teases.

"That depends," she teases back, alight and glowing in his arms, and leans in to bite lightly at his neck. "Will you join me?"

"Well, I would," he says, deadpan but shivering a little at the sensation of her mouth against his throat. "But I still seem to be entirely dressed."

"Unbelievable," she chuckles, working her way up to nibble at his ear. "What an oversight. Too bad there's no way to remedy it."

A low groan escapes him. "Too bad," he echoes. "A shame I don't have my hands free."

"You could put me down," she points out, lifting her hands to loosen his tie and undo the top button of his shirt as she runs her teeth lightly over the shell of his ear. "Problem solved."

"But then I'd have to put you down," he counters, holding her closer. "And your feet hurt."

"True."

She slips his tie free and lets it fall to the floor. "You could put me on the counter, instead."

He chuckles and does just that. "Sharp enough to cut yourself, aren't you?" he teases, as he skims his hands over her sides and down her thighs, leaning closer so she can reach him with ease.

"I'm a problem solver," she points out, as she runs her hands down his chest before pushing them up beneath his jacket to coax it over his shoulders.

He shrugs his shoulders, helping the jacket to fall free, and leans in to kiss her again.

"I like it. Keep going."

She kisses him back, teasing his buttons free one by one, then breaks the kiss so she can follow the line of his opening shirt. She presses kiss after slow kiss to his skin as she exposes it, her fingers drifting down and down to tug his loosened shirt from his pants.

Turnabout's fair play, he knows, and yet. Bucky groans aloud and shifts closer, running his hands back down her sides to her hips to draw her as near as he can. "Angel, you'll have me on my knees in a second."

"Hmm," she hums, pushing the edges of his shirt away so she can trace the lines of muscle across his chest. She ghosts her mouth over one nipple, then licks over it, warm and wet. "That doesn't sound so bad to me."

He parts her hair at her nape and bends his head to kiss the back of her neck, lingering over it. "Well, when you put it that way..."

She shivers and smile against his skin, pushing his shirt off over his shoulders before running her hands down his sides to his hips. She slips her fingers between his skin and the fabric of his waistband, teasing. "But I want to see you, first."

He nips lightly at her nape. “I’m in your hands, baby.”

She may never get over the rush of emotion that comes when she realizes all over again how much he trusts her, and how sweet a thing that is. "I'll take care of you," she promises, placing a kiss over his heart as she loosens his belt and undoes the fastenings of his perfectly tailored pants.

“I know.” Whisper-soft and filled with absolute trust. Bucky straightens a little and rests his hands on her shoulders, smiling down at her.

Sharon smiles up at him, her eyes full of everything she doesn't have the words for. The remade star necklace gleams against her collarbone, and the matching earrings catch the light at her ears as she tips her head back. "There you are," she murmurs, as she meets his warm glance.

She runs a thumb over the zipper of his pants, then undoes it and pushes the fabric of both trousers and shorts over his hips.

He cups her face with his right hand, runs his thumb over her lips, and leans down to kiss her again as his pants slip down his body and he steps out of his clothing - shoes and all.

She opens her knees and presses herself forward on the counter so she can wrap her arms around him, wanting to feel his warm bare skin against hers as she kisses him back. "Bucky," she murmurs. "I need you."

“I’m here.” He helps her scoot closer, his hands at her waist, and steps as near as he can get without running into the counter, then kisses her again and again, drowning in the taste and scent of her.

[from_the_outside]

She kisses him and kisses him, running her hands up over his back, savoring the feeling of his skin under her palms, tracing the line of his metal shoulder with her fingers before her hands wander back down along his sides. One palm presses into the small of his back while her other hand slips between them to curl around him, warm and gentle. "Stay with me."

His hips flex as she takes hold of him, and his head tips back as a moan escapes him.

“Yes.” His fingers are trembling as he cradles her face and kisses her, kisses her, kisses her. “Yes. Angel, yes.”
