Steve shifts a little to the side, drawing Sharon in as she crashes into them. Bucky's afraid to move at first, but slowly raises his left arm upward to pat his best friend's shoulder. He curves his right arm around Sharon's waist, holding on, letting himself be held by both of them.

"I'm sorry," he whispers, each word choked, broken, and barely audible. "I'm sorry. Sorry."

It's all he can manage to say.
