[WWII AU] you and your baby went to town

Waiting for Bucky's day off has been as difficult as waiting for Christmas used to be when she was a kid. And it doesn't help that they just don't seem to be able to manage time alone together after the mission – not enough of it, anyway. A few stolen kisses here and there are all she gets, even as she feels like she's burning up from pure want.

When he finally tells her, grinning, that he's gotten another R&R day, she spends the next few days in a haze of relieved anticipation. Not just at the thought of finally being able to touch him, but just because she loves spending the time with him. She knows it's a bad idea, knows it's only going to hurt so much worse down the line, but she can't stop herself, and she doesn't want to.

She doesn't ride with him into town this time. Instead, he'd told her to meet him at the little chapel he'd shown her earlier. Wilkins is happy to give her a lift, after she spends extra time and care on her hair and makeup and clothes – the civilian outfit he likes so much and which Lorraine had tried to ruin. 

She's right on time as she walks into the little chapel and looks around for him. "Bucky?"

"I hope not," she murmurs, her smile small and warm as she watches him move down along her body.

In all likelihood, she won't be here long enough for that to happen, but... it's been weeks, now. Every day, the resonance coming off her body ticks a little bit lower. She wonders what will happen the day it finally disappears for good, and if it'll mean she can never get home again.

But that's the last thing she wants to think about, when she's with him here and now. She shivers as he kisses her knee and smiles. "Taking that 'all over' thing pretty seriously, huh?"

“I’m a man of my word,” he says, pressing a kiss to her calf. “Besides, I might find another spot you really like.”

He trails his fingers over the back of her knee, lightly.

She yelps a laugh and reflexively tries to pull her leg away. "Careful," she says, a giggle in her voice. "I'm ticklish."

“Oh, really.” Mischief is clear in every line of him, but he doesn’t move to take advantage of this new information.

Slowly, each kiss deliberate and lingering, he works his way back up her other leg.

"That's going to come back to bite me later," she laughs, but she doesn't make any move to pull away from him. "I just know it."

[nerves_of_ice]

“Maybe.” He nibbles gently at the sensitive skin of her inner thigh, laughing, then presses a soothing kiss to the same spot.

Bucky sweeps his hands over her thighs and hips, then under the swell of her rear.

She shifts to let him get his hands beneath her, strong and warm, her eyes dark and soft as she watches him. "Well," she murmurs. "I'm in your hands, baby."

“I’ll take care of you,” he promises, low and sincere, and sets his mouth to her center for a much more intimate kiss.

She moans, her head pushing back as her eyes close, her hips rocking in his hands as sensation jolts through her. "Bucky, god – "

He hums against her, stroking his thumbs lightly over her skin as he flicks and presses with his tongue, giving her kiss after kiss to her core, paying attention to how she reacts.

He's driving her crazy with his mouth and lips and tongue, licking against her and sending waves rolling through her. She shifts restlessly in his hands, her hair catching on the sheet as her head pushes back and rolls from side to side, but the fingers she has in his hair, caressing his cheek, are gentle and trembling.

"Please," she whispers. "Baby, baby, please."

He hums again at that sweet, gentle plea, a wordless promise. Bucky draws on her with his mouth and lets her feel the lightest edge of his teeth on sensitized flesh as he slides a finger inside her.

His hum vibrates through her and she whimpers at the sensation, then groans again as his finger slips inside her. "Baby, you feel so good."

With the first desperate round out of the way, she can focus more on him and how he makes her feel, how tender and sweet and generous he is, as he coaxes her closer and closer to the edge. "You're going to push me right over if you're not careful, sweetheart."

His response is to add a second finger, caressing her inner walls and teasing at her opening with mouth and hand both before he returns to giving her the most intimate of kisses.

She laughs, breathless, then moans as he strokes her inside and out, as her body responds to each sweet caress. His tongue swirls against her and his fingers move inside her and she can feel everything start to crumble as her hand fists in the sheet of the makeshift bed.

"Baby," she manages. "Baby – "

He takes his other hand from under her, petting her stomach before he reaches for her hand where it’s clenched on the sheets, holding on to her as he continues to work her with lips and tongue and fingertips.

She threads her shaking fingers with his, then shudders as he runs his tongue over a spot that makes light flash behind her eyes. When he does it again, her whole body shakes as she cries out, low and breathless as pleasure bursts through her and leaves her trembling and loose.

He stays with her through the waves of her pleasure, then gently draws his hand from her and kisses her thigh, her hip, and her belly before he surges up her body and uses his hold on her hand to flip her.

Bucky hugs her to him with the arm now wrapped around her, then lets the weight of his body press against her back, covering over her. “I’ve got you, baby,” he murmurs.

She breathes deep, her eyes closed, and lets him blanket her, warm and strong and reassuring.

"You sure do," she murmurs. She can't even look head on at how completely he has her, knowing how much it'll hurt later. "You have me."

He kisses her shoulder, then the nape of her neck, nudging her hair aside as he does.

“Beautiful lady,” he whispers.

She tips her head forward to bare the nape of her neck to him, shivering a little as his breath puffs over sensitive skin.

"Handsome man," she murmurs quietly back. "My sweet soldier boy."

He kisses her nape again, gentle and lingering, then tucks his face into the crook of her neck and just rests with her for a moment, his breath warm against her skin.

She lets her eyes drift closed as she savors the feeling of his arms around her and his warm weight against her. He presses his face into the crook of her neck and a wave of tenderness curls through her. She runs her hand to the back of his and threads their fingers together, puffing out her breath in a small, contented sigh.

He drops a small kiss in the curve of her throat and smiles. “Let me know when you want me to move.”

She chuckles a little, her back moving against his chest. "It's cute," she tells him. "Like you think I'm about to make a break for it."
