[WWII AU] you and your baby went to town

Waiting for Bucky's day off has been as difficult as waiting for Christmas used to be when she was a kid. And it doesn't help that they just don't seem to be able to manage time alone together after the mission – not enough of it, anyway. A few stolen kisses here and there are all she gets, even as she feels like she's burning up from pure want.

When he finally tells her, grinning, that he's gotten another R&R day, she spends the next few days in a haze of relieved anticipation. Not just at the thought of finally being able to touch him, but just because she loves spending the time with him. She knows it's a bad idea, knows it's only going to hurt so much worse down the line, but she can't stop herself, and she doesn't want to.

She doesn't ride with him into town this time. Instead, he'd told her to meet him at the little chapel he'd shown her earlier. Wilkins is happy to give her a lift, after she spends extra time and care on her hair and makeup and clothes – the civilian outfit he likes so much and which Lorraine had tried to ruin. 

She's right on time as she walks into the little chapel and looks around for him. "Bucky?"

“Yes,” he promises, and leans up to kiss her mouth. “Yes, baby. Just let me —“

He pulls back slowly, after one more long, lingering kiss, and slides his hands down her body to her waistband. “Let me,” he asks. “I want to see all of you. To feel all of you.”

"Yes," she tells him, without hesitation. Her hands are relaxed and warm on his shoulders. "You can. I want you to."

He kisses her again, then unfastens her slacks and eases them over her hips along with her underthings, his hands skimming along the long, lovely length of her legs as he undresses her and lays the rest of her clothing to the side.

Bucky lets himself look at her, lying there, and the blow of desire that smashes into him nearly knocks him flat. He groans aloud. “God, angel, you’re so beautiful."

“So are you,” she tells him, watching the way he soaks her in, like she’s the most beautiful thing he’s ever seen. She shifts, totally unselfconscious of her nakedness, and leans up to kiss him, skating one hand over shoulder, down along his chest to his bare side.

“Come here,” she murmurs. “Let me undress you.”

Delighted, enthralled, he moves as she's asked to let her do for him what he'd just done for her.

"I'm in your hands, darling," he murmurs, and leans down to give her another quick kiss. "All yours."

She kisses him again and moves with him until he’s on his back on the makeshift bed. There’s no need to rush, and she doesn’t; she savors him first, dropping kisses along his collarbone and over his chest, smoothing her hand over the warm plane of his belly before she undoes his belt and the button of his slacks.

“I like that,” she murmurs. “Darling.”

It’s sweetly old-fashioned, but in his lips, directed at her, it feels brand-new. She presses a kiss to his stomach and undoes the zip of his trousers, then slips them off over his hips, along with the shorts beneath, until he’s bare and beautiful, stretched out on the sheet.

"I'll remember," he promises, and smiles at her as he holds out his arms, open and ready to embrace her.

"Come here, darling."

She stretches out by his side, thrilling at the feeling of her bare skin against his, and comes into his embrace to kiss him.

“You feel so nice,” she murmurs, running a hand along his side to his hip. His skin is soft and warm and she can feel the play of muscle beneath it as he moves.

"So do you," he murmurs, between kisses. Bucky runs a hand into her hair and tightens his fingers in it, tilting her head back and angling into a deeper, more passionate kiss.

"I don't want to stop touching you. I want to kiss every inch of your skin, feel you shiver and hear the sweet sounds you make."

“I want that, too.”

It feels like she’s wanted him forever, like even as he’s taking her breath away, she can finally breathe. She runs her palm over the swell of his behind and down along the back of his thigh, coaxing him closer. “I want you to have all of me, like I want all of you.”

He groans at the feel of her hand sliding over him and shifts, nudging her thighs apart with his knee as he kisses her again and strokes his other hand slowly along her side, teasing her curves with slow caresses.

"Anything you want," he tells her. "Everything you want. And I'll protect you. I came prepared. You don't have to worry about anything."

“I’m not worried,” she promises. She shifts her knees as he coaxes her, opening to him without hesitation.

“I trust you, Bucky.”

Her soft confession spears right through him, followed by a swell of tenderness. Bucky kisses her again, deep and seeking, as he runs his hand up to cup her breast. He tweaks her nipple, teasing her, and trails his fingers down across the softness of her belly, then further, to the delicate skin of her inner thigh, where he traces light circles before he strokes his fingers gently over the warmth at her center.

She sighs at the touch, a shiver running through her, and winds her arms around him as she kisses him back before she paints kisses down the side of his throat, tasting the salt off his skin.

“Sweetheart,” she murmurs, and traces her fingers down over his belly. “Can you feel how much I want you?”

A hard tremor runs through his whole body as she kisses and pets him. He crooks two fingers into her warmth, slow and deliberate, and circles his thumb against the sensitive bud the way she'd liked so much before.

"You feel wonderful," he breathes, hoarse and almost raw with want of his own. "Sharon, baby, you're so lovely."

She strokes her fingers down over the muscles tensing in his stomach to the rise of his hip, then traces along his inner thigh until she can wrap her fingers around him.

“God,” she groans, her head tipping back as he strokes her. “You do, too. You feel so good, baby.”

His hips jerk without his conscious intent as he thrusts into her hold, a low moan escaping him. Bucky bites his lip hard, willing himself to hold back, and strokes her again and again.

She curls her fingers and strokes along his hard length, every groan and small sound he makes landing like bullets in her stomach.

“We have all day,” she murmurs, breathless, between kisses over his skin. She can’t keep herself from nipping lightly at his shoulder before soothing it with another kiss. “I want to take my time. But baby, I’m going to burn up, I want you so much.”

"Slow, fast, and everywhere in between," he promises, low and taut with desperate restraint. "That's how I want you. That's how I want to see you, to feel you--"

He spreads his fingers apart inside her, stretching her a little, then presses deeper as he flicks his thumb quickly back and forth over the swollen, nerve-filled bud and drops kisses along her shoulder, teasing her there as well with lips and tongue and the lightest edge of his teeth.

She moans as he flicks his thumb over her and sends waves of pleasure scudding through her body. “Yes,” she promises, and runs her hand up along him, rubbing her thumb over his head before stroking back down again.

“Any way you want. Everything you want, Bucky, god — “

All kinds of images fill his mind at that sweet promise, and Bucky groans aloud and throws his head back, fighting for control for a long moment before he bends to kiss her again while he continues to caress her, this kiss wild and passionate.

"Condom," he manages, when it breaks. "Give me a second, baby, let me take care of protecting you before you drive me crazy." He circles his thumb against her again, faster, with a wicked smile, clearly trying to drive her crazy first.

She gasps and shudders as he teases her, then laughs, breathless as she uncurls her fingers from around him and pushes teasingly at his shoulders. “Go,” she orders. “Get it, before I lose my mind.”

He grins at her, quick and bright, and rolls to the side to retrieve one of the ones he'd stashed beneath the hay on the far side of the bed. Bucky tears the packet open and starts to sheathe himself, taking advantage of the opportunity to grasp himself hard at the base to give himself more self-control.

She’s grinning and flushed pink with a combination of desire and exertion, her hair a mess against the sheet. Somewhere in their tangling, the daisy had at last fallen from her waves and gotten crushed beneath them, and the warm floral scent drifts up around her.

Sharon sits up and curves her hand around the nape of his neck to pull him in for a deep, drowning kiss, unable to keep from touching him.

Bucky returns it willingly, wanting her touch, her smile, the feel of her body against him. When it breaks, he grins back, delighted, and wraps both arms around her to draw her in as he kisses her back down into the bed that he'd made for them, covering her with his body.
